Lost
The “Lost” installation featured thousands of photographs of clothing collected in San Diego and sent to Haiti with relief organizations after the devastating 2010 earthquake. The clothing was collected during an artist-initiated community effort; 2,983 pieces of clothing was collected in February 2010, one for each mile separating San Diego from Port-au- Prince. The exhibition was designed to draw people in, to confront them with the photos of soiled and wrinkled children’s clothing in an attempt to spark memories of their own children or their own childhood.
